      52-717.   Bank transactions on Saturday afternoon or holiday.No provision of any law of this state shall be so construed as toprevent banks from paying checks, drafts, or other bills of exchange uponSaturday afternoon, or upon any legal holiday: Provided, Such paymentswould be legal if made at other times.
