      55-161.   Investigation of abandoned wells, when; costs.The commission shall investigate abandoned wells, and,based on actual or potential pollution problems, may select abandoned wellsto be drilled out by the commission in order to test the integrity of theplugs. The cost of such testing shall be paid from the well pluggingassurance fund or the abandoned oil and gas wellfund, asappropriate.
