Chapter 55.--OIL AND GAS
Article 8.--INTERSTATE COMPACT TO CONSERVE OIL AND GAS

      55-865.   Same; official representative of Kansas; appointment, oath,expenses.The governor of Kansas is authorized to appoint a representative of thestate of Kansas to the interstate oil compact commission who shall act asthe official representative of the state of Kansas on such commission; andsuch representative shall meet from time to time with the representativesof the other compacting states for the purpose of enabling the state ofKansas to fully cooperate in accomplishing the objects of said compact. Therepresentative of the state of Kansas to the interstate oil compactcommission shall take the oath of office prescribed by the constitution,which shall be filed with the secretary of state, and he or she shall bereimbursed for all actual expenses incurred in attending the meetings ofthe interstate oil compact commission. All expenses incurred in enablingthe state of Kansas to fully participate in the accomplishment of theobjects of the interstate compact to conserve oil and gas shall be defrayedfrom the funds known as the oil and gas conservation funds.
