56-1a108. Filing instruments by telefacsimilecommunications.(a) Any instrument filed in accordance with the Kansasrevised uniform limited partnership act, and amendments thereto, may be filedby telefacsimile communications. If such telefacsimile communication isaccompanied with the appropriate fees, and meets the statutory requirements, itshall be effective upon its filing date. The secretary of state shallprescribe atelefacsimile communication fee in addition to any filing fees to cover thecost of the services. The fee must be paid prior to acceptance of atelefacsimile communication under this section. The telefacsimilecommunication fee shall be deposited into the information and copy service feefund.
(b) As used in this section, "telefacsimile communication" means the use ofelectronic equipment to send or transfer a document.
