Article 22.--CONVEYANCES OF LAND

      58-2239.   County clerk to keep transfer record; separate records fortax-exempt lands.The county clerk of each county in this state shall keep in his or her office abook of record, which shall be denominated the transfer record, in whichshall be entered all transfers of lands or lots in the clerk's county. Uponpresentation of a deed of conveyance of real estate, the county clerk shallenter on the transfer record the description of the real estate asdescribed in said conveyance, and attach his or her certificate to the conveyance,that the proper transfers have been entered upon the records of the clerk'soffice. A separate transfer record shall be maintained for all lands orlots which are exempt from taxation under the constitution or statutes of Kansas.
