58-25,102. Jurisdiction of courts;procedure.The district court shall have jurisdiction over a landlord or tenantwithrespect to conduct in this state governed by this act or with respect to anyclaim arising from a transaction subject to this act, and notwithstanding theprovisions of subsection (b) of K.S.A. 61-2802, andamendments thereto, suchactions may be commenced pursuant to the code of civil procedure for limitedactions. Unless otherwise specifically provided in this act, the code of civilprocedure for limited actions shall govern any action commenced pursuant tothis act. If the relief sought is beyond the jurisdiction of a districtmagistrate judge as provided in K.S.A. 20-302b, and amendments thereto, theaction shall be heard by a district judge.
