Chapter 58a.--KANSAS UNIFORM TRUST CODE
Article 1.--GENERAL PROVISIONS AND DEFINITIONS

      58a-110.   Others treated as qualifiedbeneficiaries.(a) A charitable organization expressly mandated toreceive distributions underthe terms of atrusthas the rights of a qualified beneficiary under this code, if the charitableorganization, on the date the charitable organization's qualification is beingdetermined:

      (1)   Is a distributee of trust income or principal;

      (2)   would be a distributee of trust income or principal upon the terminationof the interests of other distributees then receiving or eligible to receivedistributions; or

      (3)   would be a distributee of trust income or principal if the trustterminated on that date.

      (b)   A person appointed to enforce a trustcreated for the care of an animal or anothernoncharitable purpose as provided inK.S.A. 58a-408 or 58a-409, andamendments thereto,has the rights of a qualified beneficiaryunder this code.

      (c)   The attorney general of this state has the rights of aqualifiedbeneficiary with respect to a charitable trust having its principal place ofadministration in this state.
