Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE
Article 12.--INVENTORY AND APPRAISEMENT

      59-1202.   Independent appraisement, when; appointment of appraisers;submission of inventory and appraisement; compensation.No independent appraisement shall be made unless a party having an interestin the estate requestsone. If so requested, the personal representativeshall appointnot more than three appraisers who shall beapproved by the court unless good cause is shown why they should notbe approved. Within30 days after theirappointment, such appraisers shall state opposite each item contained inthe inventory the value thereof and forthwith deliver such inventory andappraisement, certified by them under oath, to the personal representative, who shallfile it with the district court. Such appraisers shall be paid such compensationas the court deems reasonable.
