Article 17.--PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ESTATES

      59-1705.   Notice to consular representative.When it appears in the administration of an estate of a decedent or aconservatee that subjects, citizens or nationals of any foreign country areor may be interested as heirs, devisees, legatees, or otherwise, the courtbefore whom the matter is pending shall give notice by mail to the consularrepresentative of such country for this state of the pendency of suchmatter and the probable interest of such foreign citizens, subjects, andnationals therein, if such consular representative has filed his or her name andaddress in such court. The failure to give such notice shall not affect thevalidity of any proceeding.
