Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE Article 22.--PROBATE PROCEDURE

      59-2232.   Hearing for administration.On the hearing of a petition for administration and proof thereof, thecourt shall appoint an administrator and fix the amount of his or her bond, asrequired by law. If the person appointed neglects for ten days afterwritten notice of such appointment, served as the court may direct, to filethe oath and bond required by law, such neglect shall be deemed a refusalto serve and the court, with or without notice, may appoint such otherperson or persons as may be entitled to administer such estate.
