Article 4.--RULES OF EVIDENCE

      60-422.   Further limitations on admissibility of evidence affectingcredibility.As affecting the credibility of a witness (a) in examining the witness as to astatement made by him or her in writing inconsistent with any part of his orher testimony it shall not be necessary to show or read to the witness anypart of the writing provided that if the judge deems it feasible the time andplace of the writing and the name of the person addressed, if any, shall beindicated to the witness; (b) extrinsic evidence of prior contradictorystatements, whether oral or written, made by the witness, may in thediscretion of the judge be excluded unless the witness was so examined whiletestifying as to give him or her an opportunity to identify, explain or denythe statement; (c) evidence of traits of his or her character other thanhonesty or veracity or their opposites, shall be inadmissible; (d) evidence ofspecific instances of his or her conduct relevant only as tending to prove atrait of his or her character, shall be inadmissible.
