Article 1.--SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT, ACTIVITIES

      65-1,171.   Same; confidential data; exceptions toprohibition ondisclosure; data not subject to subpoena or open records act; storage ofdata.The information contained on the cancer registryshall be confidential, shall not be disclosed except as provided in K.S.A.65-1,172 and amendments thereto, shall not be subject to subpoena,discovery orintroduction into evidence in any civil or criminal proceeding andshall not besubject to the provisions of the Kansas open records act.The secretary shall ensure that the confidentiality of any data collected whichmight be used to identify an individual with cancer or a health care provideris maintained. Storage of cancer data shall be in a manner which will protectall information which uniquely identifies individuals.
