Article 19.--LICENSURE OF ENTITIES BY STATE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY

      65-1948.   Same; powers and duties of board.The powers and duties of the board as related to this act areas follows:

      (a)   To authorize all disbursements necessary to carry out the provisions ofthis act;

      (b)   to determine training and experience requirements for taking theexamination and to supervise and administer examinations to test the knowledgeof applicants for licensure;

      (c)   to license persons who apply to the board and who have qualified topractice tattooing, cosmetic tattooing or body piercing;

      (d)   to renew licenses;

      (e)   to appoint representatives to conduct or supervise theexamination ofapplicants for licensure;

      (f)   to designate the time and place for examiningapplicants for licensure;

      (g)   to carry out, together with the department orseparately, the periodicinspection of establishments of persons who arelicensed to practice tattooing, cosmetic tattooing orbody piercing;

      (h)   to issue a tattooing,cosmetic tattooing or body piercing establishment license to qualifiedapplicants uponcompliance with this act; and

      (i)   to appoint or employ subordinate employees.
