65-1950. Same; licensure; fees.(a) The board shall assess, by rules and regulations adoptedby the board, such non-refundable fees as arenecessary to carry out the provisions of this act.
(b) The board shall license each applicant, without discrimination, whoproves to the satisfaction of the board, fitness for such licensure asrequired by this act and upon payment of a non-refundable feeestablished by the boardunder this section. Except as provided in K.S.A. 65-1945, and amendmentsthereto, the boardshallissue to the applicant a license that expires one year after the date ofissuance.
(c) The board shall establish all fees under this act. The fees andcharges established under this section shall not exceed the cost ofadministering the regulatory program under this act pertaining to the purposefor which the fee or charge is established.
