Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH Article 58.--PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS

      65-5803.   Licensure required prior to certain acts and representations;violations misdemeanor.(a) No person shallengagein the practice of professional counseling or represent that such person is alicensed professional counselor, licensedcounselor orprofessional counselor without having first obtained alicense as aprofessional counselor under the professional counselorslicensure act.

      (b)   On and after the effective date of this act, no person shall engage inthe practice of professional counseling as a clinical professional counselor orrepresent that such person is a licensed clinical professional counselorwithout first having obtained a license as a clinical professional counselorunder the professional counselors licensure act.

      (c)   Violation of this section is a class B misdemeanor.
