Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH Article 6.--FOOD, DRUGS AND COSMETICS

      65-679a.   Dimethyl sulfoxide; labeling and information requirements ifsold other than by prescription.(a) Any dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) sold in this state other than by prescriptionshall be labeled by the manufacturer and seller. The label shall containa description of all of the contents in the solution, a statement of purity,the percent of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in the solution and the manufacturer'sname and address. Whenever dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is sold or otherwisesupplied, the seller or supplier shall give additional printed material,approved by the secretary, to the person receiving the dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) that provides adequate warning against use that may bedangerous to the health of the user.

      (b)   The secretary of health and environment may adopt rules and regulationsnecessary to administer the provisions of this section.

      (c)   This section shall be part of and supplemental to the Kansas food,drug and cosmetic act.
