66-1,153. Fees for inspection and supervision authorized; gaspipeline safety standards.Every public utility engaged in the operation of gas pipeline systems inthis state which is subject to the jurisdiction and control of the statecorporation commission, shall pay annually to the commission a fee forthe inspection and supervision of the standards of safety prescribed byrules and regulations adopted in conformance with the natural gaspipeline safety act of 1968 (49 U.S.C.A. § 1671 et seq.): Provided,That nothing in this act shall apply to any public utility required topay the fee provided for by K.S.A. 66-1503. Said fee shall be due andpayable on or before September 1 of each year, commencing in the year1973, and shall be for the fiscal year in which payment is due. Such feeshall be in addition to any and all property, franchise or license feesand other taxes, fees and charges fixed, assessed or charged by lawagainst such utility.
