Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES Article 12.--MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

      66-1227.   Energy efficiency of buildings;standards.(a) TheInternationalEnergy Conservation Code 2006 (IECC 2006)ishereby adopted as the applicable energy efficiencystandard for new commercial and industrial structures in this state.

      (b)   The state corporation commission has no authority to adopt or enforceenergy efficiency standards for residential, commercial or industrialstructures.

      (c)   Nothing in this section shall be construed to preclude a city or countyfrom adopting or enforcing energy efficiency standardsfor structures withinthe jurisdiction of such city or county.
