Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES
Article 2.--DUTIES AND LIABILITIES OF RAILROAD COMPANIES

      66-228.   Same; penalty; time within which to restore crossing.Every person or corporation failing to comply with the provisions ofthis act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined notless than five dollars, nor more than fifty dollars, for each and everyviolation hereof and each day same shall be allowed to remain out of repairshall be a separate offense: Provided, however, When any suchcrossings have been properly constructed as provided in this act, and shallbecome defective because of accident or unusual severe or stormy weather,the person or corporation whose duty it is to maintain the same, shall haveten days in which to restore said crossing to its proper condition beforethe penalty herein provided for shall attach.
