Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES Article 9.--EMINENT DOMAIN

      66-911.   Condemnation by electric railways.When necessary to enter upon and use private property in theconstruction or operation of their railway tracks, sidetracks, turnoutsand switches or for the construction of bridges or viaducts orapproaches thereto, street, suburban and interurban railway companiesshall have and are hereby given the power of eminent domain; and theprocedure and methods of appropriation and of determination of thecompensation to be paid for such private property shall be in accordancewith K.S.A. 26-501 to 26-516, inclusive.
