      68-1054.   Designating U.S. highway 83 as the veteransof foreign wars memorial highway.United States highway 83 from the Kansas-Nebraska border onthe north to the Kansas-Oklahoma border on the south is hereby designated theveterans of foreign wars memorial highway. The secretary of transportationshall place markers along the highway right-of-way at proper intervals toindicate that the highway is the veterans of foreign wars memorial highway,except that such signs shall not be placed until the secretary has receivedsufficient moneys from gifts and donations to reimburse the secretary for thecost of placing such signs.Thesecretary of transportation may accept and administer gifts and donations toaid in obtaining suitable highway signs bearing the proper approvedinscription.
