68-1117. Execution of contracts; bond of contractor.
68-1117
68-1117. Execution of contracts; bond ofcontractor.Within 21 days after anypublic letting, thebidder to whomany contract shall be awarded shall enter into contract with the boardof county commissioners and shall give bond to the county ina penalsum equal to the amount of the contract price, conditioned upon thefaithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing the county againstloss from defects of workmanship and materials. The sufficiency ofthebond shall be approved by the chairperson of the boardof countycommissioners, but the county shall not be bound until thecounty attorney or county counselor approves the form aslegal and binding upon bothparties by the county attorney's or county counselor'ssignature endorsed thereon.
