Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 19.--CHARTER SCHOOLS

      72-1911.   State board of education; rules andregulations.(a) The state board of education may adopt rules andregulations to:

      (1)   Administer the provisions of K.S.A. 72-1903 et.seq., and amendments thereto;

      (2)   require periodic reports from charter schools; and

      (3)   establish additional criteria for evaluating and approving charterschools.

      (b)   Charter schools approved on or before July 1, 2002, are not required tocomply with rules and regulations adopted pursuant to subsection (a) until thecharter of suchschool expires.
