72-4470b. Contracts; indemnification or holdharmless provisions, void.(a) It is the public policy of the state of Kansas that allcontractsentered into bythe governing body of a technical college, or any officers or employees thereofacting on behalfof the governing body, provide that the technical college and the governingbody thereof shall beresponsible solely for the technical college's or board's actions or failure toact under a contract.
(b) The governing body of a technical college and any officers or employeesthereofacting on behalf of the governing body shall not have the authority to enterinto a contract underwhich the technical college or the governing body agrees to, or is required to,indemnify or holdharmless against damages, injury or death resulting from the actions or failureto act on the partof any party to a contract other than the governing body or the technicalcollege.
(c) The provisions of any contract entered into in violation of this sectionshall becontrary to the public policy of the state of Kansas and shall be void andunenforceable.
