Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 52.--HEALTH PROGRAMS

      72-5215.   Information on immunizations applicable toschool age children.(a) At the beginning of a schoolyear, school boards shall provide informationon immunizations applicable to school age children to parents and guardians ofstudents ingrades six through 12. The information on immunizations shall include:

      (1)   A list of sources for additional information; and

      (2)   related standards issued by the national centers for disease control andprevention.

      (b)   The department of health and environment shall provide assistance, ifrequested by aschool board, and information on immunizations applicable to school agechildren to schoolboards for the purposes of this section, and shall not charge the school boardfor such assistanceor information.

      (c)   For purposes of this section, "school board" means the board of educationof a schooldistrict and the governing authority of any nonpublic school.
