Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 54.--TEACHERS' CONTRACTS

      72-5443.   Opinion of hearing officer; findings of fact and determinationof issues; decision final; appeal to district court.(a) Unless otherwise agreed to by both the board and the teacher, thehearing officer shall render a written opinion not later than30days after the close of the hearing, setting forth the hearingofficer's findingsof fact and determination of the issues. The decision of the hearing officershall besubmittedto the teacherand to the board.

      (b)   The decision of the hearing officer shall be final, subject to appealto the district court by either party as provided in K.S.A. 60-2101, andamendments thereto.
