Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 64.--SCHOOL DISTRICT FINANCE AND QUALITY PERFORMANCE

      72-6413.   Program weighting; use of moneys derivedfrom weighting.(a) The program weighting of each district shall be determined by the stateboard as follows:

      (1)   Compute full time equivalent enrollment in programs of bilingualeducation and multiply the computed enrollment by .395;

      (2)   compute full time equivalent enrollment in approved vocational educationprograms and multiply the computed enrollment by 0.5;

      (3)   add the products obtained under (1) and (2). The sum is the programweighting of the district.

      (b)   A school district may expend amounts received from the bilingualweighting to pay the cost of providing at-risk and preschool-aged at-riskeducation programs and services.
