Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 64.--SCHOOL DISTRICT FINANCE AND QUALITY PERFORMANCE

      72-6446.   Special education and related servicesweighting.(a) The special education and related services weighting ofeach district shall be determined in each school year as follows:

      (1)   Add the amount of payments received by the district under the provisionsof K.S.A. 72-979, and amendments thereto, to the amount of a grant, if any,received by the district under the provisions of K.S.A. 72-983, andamendments thereto;

      (2)   divide the sum obtained under (1) by base state aid per pupil. Thequotient is the special education and related services weighting of thedistrict.

      (b)   The provisions of this section shall take effect and be in force from andafter July 1, 2001.
