Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 76.--COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION

      72-7603.   Assistant commissioners; appointment and duties.Assistant commissioners of education shall be appointed by the stateboard and shall perform such functions and duties as are prescribed bythe state board or by the commissioner. Any of said assistant commissionersof education may be designated from time to time to act for and exercisethe powers, duties and functions of the commissioner of education, in theabsence or inability of the commissioner to act, to the extent authorityto do so is delegated by the state board or by the commissioner.
