Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 80.--BOARDS OF EDUCATION-- CHANGE OF METHOD OF ELECTION

      72-8008.   Time when change of method of election or voting plan may bemade.Change of method of election or voting plan or both in any schooldistrict may be made in the manner provided in this act at any time duringthe period beginning on the first Wednesday in April of each odd-numberedyear and ending on the first Tuesday in December of each even-numberedyear, if such change is also approved in a manner authorized in this actbefore the end of such period. The new method of election and voting planin such school district shall be followed in the election of members nextfollowing such change and shall continue in force until again changed inthe manner provided in this act. Change of method of election or votingplan shall not shorten the term of any member serving on the board at thetime the change is made, and the county election officer shall not submitto election any plan of change which violates this prohibition.
