Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 81.--UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PROVISIONS OF LIMITED APPLICATION

      72-8166.   U.S.D. 475 authorized to transfer certain land.The board of education of unified school district No. 475, Geary county, ishereby authorized to transfer a tract of land described as part of thesoutheast quarter (SE1/4) of section 1, township 12 south, range 6 east,Geary county, Kansas, and further described as follows: Beginning at apoint where the center line of a now existing county road center lineintersects the east line of section 1, township 12 south, range 6 east ofthe sixth principal meridian, said point being approximately 902 feet northof the southeast corner of said section 1; thence north 52 degrees18'40" west on said road center line, a distance of 401.50 feet tothe point of beginning; thence north 52 degrees 18'40" west onsaid center line, a distance of 50.50 feet; thence following said centerline on a curve to the right with a radius of 2721.20 feet an arc distanceof 166 feet; thence north 41 degrees 11'3" east, a distance of203.32 feet; thence south 52 degrees 18'40" east, a distance of204.01 feet; thence south 37 degrees 41'20" west, a distance of 208feet to the point of beginning, containing one acre, more or less, togetherwith the structures thereon, to Wingfield township of Geary county for acommunity center.

      Such transfer may be made by the board of education in consideration of$5 and upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon byboth parties. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-8212 shall not apply to thetransaction authorized by this section. The transfer authorized by thissection shall be made by quitclaim deed.
