Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 81.--UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PROVISIONS OF LIMITED APPLICATION

      72-8171.   U.S.D. 269 authorized to transfer certain land to city of Zurich.The board of education of unified school district No. 269,Rooks county, is hereby authorized to transfer a tract of land located inthe southeast quarter (SE1/4) of section 28, township 9, range 19, Rookscounty, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast (SE) cornerof said section 28, thence west along the south line of said section 28,a distance of 354 feet to a point, thence north 408 feet to a point, thenceeast 234 feet to a point, thence south 90 feet to a point, thence east 120feet to a point, thence south 318 feet to the point of beginning, containing3.07 acres, more or less, together with the structures thereon, to the cityof Zurich, Kansas. Such transfer may be made by the board of educationin consideration of $1 and no other consideration, and upon such terms andconditions as may be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The transferauthorized by this act shall be made by warranty deed if in the opinionof the attorney of the board of education such a deed is appropriate, andif in the opinion of the attorney a warranty deed is not appropriate, suchtransfer shall be made by quitclaim deed. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-8212,and amendments thereof, shall not apply to the transaction authorized by this act.
