Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 81.--UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PROVISIONS OF LIMITED APPLICATION

      72-8189.   School district finance and quality performance act;applicability of term "local effort" to U.S.D. 450.For the purposes of the school district finance and qualityperformance act, and notwithstanding any provision of the act to the contrary,the term local effort, as applied to U.S.D. No. 450, Shawnee county, shall notinclude within its meaning the proceeds from taxes which may be paid uponproperty of Heartland Park of Topeka for the 1988 through 1991 tax years. Anysuch tax proceeds which may be distributed to the school district as the resultof a final and binding judicial decree may be deposited in the supplementalgeneral fund of the district or may be disposed of as provided in K.S.A.72-6427, and amendments thereto.
