72-8204c. Budget and summary of proposed budget;notice of availability; needs assessment of attendance centers.(a) Each year the board of education of a school district shall conduct anassessment of the educational needs of each attendance center in the district.Information obtained from such needs-assessment shall be used by the board whenpreparing the budget of the school district. The board also shall prepare asummary of the budget for the school district. The budgets and summary shall bein the form prescribed by the director pursuant to K.S.A. 79-2926, andamendments thereto.
(b) The budgets and the summary of the proposed budget shall be on file atthe administrative offices of the school district. Copies of such budgets andsummary shall be available upon request.
(c) The notice required to be published by K.S.A. 79-2929, and amendmentsthereto, shall include a statement that the budgets and the summary of theproposed budget is on file at the administrative offices of the district andthat copies of such budgets and summary are available upon request.
