Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 83.--TRANSPORTATION OF STUDENTS

      72-8308.   Compliance with uniform act regulating traffic onhighways; additional regulation.All school buses, as defined in subsection (g)(1) of K.S.A.72-8301, and amendments thereto, shall conform to the requirements of, andbe operated inaccordance with, the uniform act regulating traffic on highways. Allschool buses as defined in subsection (g) of K.S.A. 72-8301, and amendmentsthereto,and all buses designated in subsection (c)(3) of K.S.A. 72-8301, andamendments thereto, shallalso conform to the requirements of, and be operated in accordance with,rules and regulations adopted by state board of education. Inaddition, the board of education may adopt such rules and regulations asare necessary to carry out the intent and purpose of this act.
