Article 85.--TEACHING AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES ACT

      72-8509.   Removal of members of professional standards board andpractices commission; hearing.The state board of education, either on its own initiative or on therecommendation of the professional standards board or the professionalpractices commission, may remove a member of suchstandards board or practices commission. Prior to removal of amember, the member shall be given reasonable notice and hearing inaccordance with the provisions ofthe Kansas administrative procedure act. Removal of such member shall beaccomplished only by a majority vote of the entire membership of thestate board. Grounds for removal shall be misconduct or malfeasance inoffice, incompetence or neglect.
