Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 87.--CONSOLIDATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS

      72-8705.   Order establishing new school district.Before any consolidated unified school district is finally approvedunder this act, the results of the election shall be certified by thecountyelection officer in accordance with the determination of the county boardof canvassers of the home county of the consolidated unified schooldistrict to the state board. If such election was favorabletoconsolidation of the school districts, the state board shallissue an order establishingthe unified school district. Such order shall specify the home county ofthe unified school district, assign a number thereto anddescribe the boundaries thereof.If the consolidated unified school district is comprised of noncontiguousterritory, the order of the state board shall describe such territory.
