Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 88.--CAPITAL OUTLAY LEVY, FUND AND BONDS

      72-8808.   Additional levy authorizations.Whenever an initial resolution has been adopted under K.S.A.72-8801, and amendments thereto, and such resolution specified a lesser millrate than the statutorily prescribed mill rate or a lessernumber of years than five, theboard of education of the school district may adopt a second resolution underthe sameprocedure as is provided in K.S.A. 72-8801, and amendments thereto, for theinitialresolution and subject to the same conditions and for the same purposesas provided in K.S.A. 72-8801, and amendments thereto, and shall beauthorized to makesuch additional tax levy as is specified in such second resolution forthe remainder of the five years succeeding the adoption of theinitialresolution. Any such second resolution shall be limited in amount asspecified in K.S.A. 72-8801, and amendments thereto, less such amount ashas beenauthorized in the initial resolution, and not to exceed thestatutorily prescribed mill rate inany one year. In the event that any such resolution is so adopted andthe tax levy therein specified is approved under the conditionsspecified in K.S.A. 72-8801, and amendments thereto, the amount of bondswhich may beissued under K.S.A. 72-8805, and amendments thereto, may beincreased accordingly.
