Article 9.--SPECIAL EDUCATION

      72-995.   Crimes committed by child with disability,reports to law enforcement and judicial authorities; transmittal of specialeducation and disciplinary records.(a) Nothing in this act shall be construed to prohibit anagency fromreporting a crime committed by a child with a disability to appropriateauthorities or to preventstate or local law enforcement and judicial authorities from exercising theirresponsibilities withregard to the application of federal, state, or local law to crimes committedby a child with adisability.

      (b)   An agency reporting a crime committed by a child with a disability shallensure thatcopies of the special education and disciplinary records of the child aretransmitted forconsideration by the appropriate authorities to whom it reports the crime.
