Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 95.--BILINGUAL EDUCATION

      72-9504.   State board of education; administration, duties.The state board may adopt rules and regulations for the administrationof this act and shall:

      (a)   Prescribe and adopt criteria and procedures for assessment andidentificationof limited English proficient pupilsincluding identification of the specificeducational deficiencies of such pupils;

      (b)   establish standards and criteria for procedures, activities and servicesto be provided in a program to develop the English language skills and toreduce the educational deficiencies of limitedEnglish proficient pupils includingentry and exit procedures based on the English language proficiency of suchpupils; and

      (c)   establish standards and criteria for reviewing, evaluating and approvingschool district programs.
