72-9601. Citation of act; legislative declarationand intent.This act shall be known and may be cited as theeducation professional development act. It ishereby declared that it is essential to the welfare of the people of Kansasthat the provision of quality educational opportunities for all pupils in thestate be assured. Therefore, it is the intention of this act to promotecontinuous professional development,diversification in academic foundations or subject knowledge, improvementin job effectiveness, enhancement of skills and techniques, andcompetent on-the-job performanceof all certificated personnel serving regularlyin the accredited elementary and secondary schools of the stateof Kansas.
