35.140 Record -- Court reporters and interpreters.

35.140 Record -- Court reporters and interpreters. Under such regulations as the adjutant general may prescribe, the convening authority for
each general or special court-martial shall cause a complete record to be kept of all
proceedings and testimony before the court. A competent court reporter shall be detailed
to take a verbatim record of all general courts-martial. A special court-martial may not
adjudge a bad conduct discharge unless a competent court reporter was detailed to take a
verbatim record. The record of any other court-martial, military commission or court of
inquiry may be taken by a court reporter, a notary public, or other officer competent to
swear witnesses and summarize testimony. The convening authority may appoint an
interpreter who shall interpret for the court or commission. History: Amended 1974 Ky. Acts ch. 108, sec. 6. -- Created 1954 Ky. Acts ch. 99, sec. 27, effective July 1, 1954.
