40.325 Veterans' nursing homes -- Office of Kentucky Veterans' Centers -- Administrative regulations -- Funding. (1) There shall be established and maintained in the Commonwealth of Kentucky state veterans' nursing homes to provide long-term care to veterans who are residents of
Kentucky. (2) There is created the Office of Kentucky Veterans' Centers within the Department of Veterans' Affairs. The office shall be headed by an executive director appointed
pursuant to KRS 12.050. The office shall operate the Kentucky state veterans'
nursing homes. The Department of Veterans' Affairs may promulgate any
administrative regulations necessary to operate the homes in compliance with
applicable state and federal statutes and regulations. (3) The Department of Veterans' Affairs may seek federal and private funding for the construction or renovation, and operation of Kentucky state veterans' nursing
homes. Effective: July 14, 2000

Legislative Research Commission Note (7/14/2000). In accordance with 2000 Ky. Acts ch. 83, sec. 3, the amendment of the former KRS 36.355 in Section 1 of Acts Chapter
83 has been merged into the repeal and reenactment of that statute as KRS 40.325 by
2000 Ky. Acts ch. 147, sec. 6, notwithstanding KRS 446.260.
