70.330 Vacancy in constable's office in district containing city of sixth class --
Marshal may act as.
In any magisterial district in which there is no qualified constable, and in which there is
situated a city of the sixth class, the marshal of the city may perform all the duties
pertaining to the office of constable coextensive with the magisterial district so long as
the office of constable is vacant, but no longer.
