80.440 Certificate of appointment of member to be filed -- Use in evidence -- Members not to be county officers or employees -- Term -- Compensation. (1) A certificate of the appointment of any member shall be filed with the clerk (provided, that in the case of appointment of a member of a regional housing
authority by its other members, as provided in KRS 80.430, such certificate shall be
signed by the members making the appointment and filed with the other records of
the regional housing authority) and such certificate shall be conclusive evidence of
the due and proper appointment of such member. (2) No member shall be an officer or employee of a county for which the authority is created. A member shall hold office until his successor has been appointed and has
qualified, except as otherwise provided herein. (3) A member may receive compensation either as salary or as payment for meetings attending. Any compensation of the members shall be fixed by the legislative body
of the county. Effective: July 13, 1984
