81.045 City identity documents to be filed with the Secretary of State -- Effect of
noncompliance.
In order to update the record of incorporation of cities in the Secretary of State's office,
every city presently operating as a public corporation and a unit of local government shall
file with the Secretary of State within one (1) year from July 15, 1980, a document listing
the name of the city, the year of its incorporation, the present classification and the
present boundaries. If a city fails to comply with this section, it shall be barred from
receiving state moneys until such time as the city complies.
