Section 4-502 - Qualifications of applicants for barbershop permits.

§ 4-502. Qualifications of applicants for barbershop permits.
 

(a)  In general.- To qualify for a barbershop permit, an applicant shall be a person who meets the requirements of this section. 

(b)  Ownership.- An applicant shall own the barbershop for which the application is made. 

(c)  Location and equipment.- An applicant shall satisfy the Board that the location and equipment of the barbershop for which the application is made meets the requirements of: 

(1) the Board; 

(2) the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; and 

(3) the applicable local zoning code. 

(d)  Inspection.- As a condition of the issuance of a barbershop permit, the barbershop for which the application is made shall pass a pre-opening inspection conducted under § 4-512 of this subtitle.
