§ 5-401. In general.
 

(a)  Established.- There is a Baltimore City Detention Center in the Division. 

(b)  Function.- The Baltimore City Detention Center is a pretrial detention facility for inmates committed or transferred to the custody of the Commissioner. 

(c)  Housing authorized.- The Secretary may authorize the housing in the Baltimore City Detention Center of any inmate held in custody under any unit in the Department.
