§ 10-4A-01. Definitions.
 

(a)  In general.- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. 

(b)  Definitions from § 10-401 of this title.- The following words have the meanings stated in § 10-401 of this title: 

(1) Wire communication; 

(2) Oral communication; 

(3) Intercept; 

(4) Electronic, mechanical, or other device; 

(5) Person; 

(6) Investigative or law enforcement officer; 

(7) Contents; 

(8) Judge of competent jurisdiction; 

(9) Communications common carrier; 

(10) Aggrieved person; 

(11) Electronic communication; 

(12) User; 

(13) Electronic communications system; 

(14) Electronic communication service; 

(15) Readily accessible to the general public; 

(16) Electronic storage; and 

(17) Aural transfer. 

(c)  Remote computing service.- "Remote computing service" means the provision to the public of computer storage or processing services by means of an electronic communications system.
