Section 11-712 - Notice of escape and recapture.

§ 11-712. Notice of escape and recapture.
 

(a)  Escape.- If a registrant escapes from a facility, the supervising authority of the facility by the most reasonable and expedient means available shall immediately notify: 

(1) each local law enforcement unit where the registrant resided or habitually lived before the registrant was committed to the custody of the supervising authority; and 

(2) each person who is entitled to receive notice under § 11-715(a) of this subtitle. 

(b)  Recapture.- If the registrant is recaptured, the supervising authority shall send notice, as soon as possible but not later than 2 working days after the supervising authority learns of the recapture, to: 

(1) each local law enforcement unit where the registrant resided or habitually lived before the registrant was committed to the custody of the supervising authority; and 

(2) each person who is entitled to receive notice under § 11-715(a) of this subtitle.
